Appearing first as paper dolls, they quickly morphed into actual dolls and finally appeared in every sort of conceivable object form including dishes, trinkets, sewing novelties and even wall-hanging pennants. Over 500 objcts related to Kewpie and Rose O'Neill, who designed the Kewpie, appear in this 144 page full color book representing the single-owner world-class Kewpie collection of Rose Marie Wilruth of Lancaster, Massachusetts. Assembled over several decades the collection includes extraordinary bisque action Kewpies as well a O'Neill ephemera of all kinds ranging from documents to drawings to objects.
