Product Description
"Make Me Real" is a delightful story about a little girl named Brett and the tiny doll, Persis, who becomes her best friend. Persis can only come alive when she is loved by a child, and must return to being a regular doll when that child grows up. Dare Wright (1914-2001) is the beloved author of "The Lonely Doll" series. She wrote and photographed "Make Me Real" the 1970s, but this is its first publication.

I love all of Dare Wrights books and was so glad to obtain this one. It is a charming picture story of a little girl and her doll.
I highly recommend this book to any one who loves the Edith stories.

I grew up reading Dare Wright's books and own everything she ever wrote, so of course I had to have this one. The story/photography is classic Dare Wright, and I love it. I was very disappointed to find that it was bound as a paperback, rather than hardbound, as all the other D.W. books I have. At $20/book, I certainly expected more than a thin, flimsy paperback. I would have returned it for that if it weren't for my collection.
